Grapefully Us is a cooperative effort of people dedicated to expanding their wine knowledge and appreciation of wine.

The group was originally founded in Connecticut in 1986 under the guidance of wine retailer Ed Ganem.  Ed conducted wine education and tastings at his store in Terryville, CT.  From that base, a group formed under the premise of sharing the cost of premium wines so that each member would have the opportunity to try wines that they might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience.  The host is responsible to select the wine to be shared and to do research about the wine, thus educating each taster about what makes that wine special and unique.

As a group, there have been some unique opportunities to get to know winemakers, help to plant a vineyard and have wine blended with our own label.  These hands-on experiences have given the group exposure to the wine industry that most, as individuals, would not have come into contact with.

When two of the members moved to Arizona, the Grapefully Us - Southwest Chapter was formed in 2003.  Abiding by the original concept of the group, we continue to expand our wine knowledge and indulge in wonderful wines that are best when shared with fellow wine-lovers!
