	The world of wine is expanding exponentially every year. The body of wine knowledge; whether viticulture, vinification, the business of wine, or the contemporary issues, is exploding. At the same time the number of people drinking wine and having their lives touched by some aspect of wine is equally expanding. Together there is so much more wine information to know and so many more people wanting to know it. Unfortunately, most people have very limited access to someone who can teach them about wine. Someone who actually has studied wine academically. That is the genesis behind this website. Although we will touch on many topics in this website, remember that the true purpose of our efforts is to teach you as much about the world of wine as you want to learn.
	It would be impossible to teach everyone everything about wine. It is impossible to even teach the most avid student everything about wine, because the body of wine information expands every hour. But we can teach most people a significant amount about day-to-day wine. This website is focused on the new consumer who wants to know more about wine and who wants to make informed wine buying decisions. Whether at the grocery store, the wine shop, or the restaurant, we all want to be savvy wine buyers. This website is designed for the person who wants to incorporate wine into their lifestyle without having to study every wine magazine and textbook just to know what wine to buy for dinner.
